At Legend Gun Dogs, we’ve trained just about every breed of hunting dog--from Labradoodles to Italian Spinonis.

No gimmicks, no “programs”, just solid training.  Training based on years of experience and  from generations of knowledge gleaned from many years of studying animal training

We can usually turn out a basic hunting dog in 30-45 days. This of course depends on your dog’s natural ability and what you’ve done with him at home. This basic work includes obedience, birds(lots of birds) and gun work.  A variety of training situations, including water(when appropriate) are used.

We are able to train your dog to any level you want--up to the AKC Master Level or Field Trial.  We can prepare your dog for you to  run or we can run your dog in AKC Hunt Tests for you.

We also are able to complete the Trained Retrieve(the old fashioned word is force breaking).

We use the Electronic Collar as a TOOL--we understand that electricity cannot replace good training or a competent trainer--the e-collar reinforces and solidifies commands.

Larry will personally work your dog 6 days per week.  On the 7th day, your dog will get out for exercise

Our facility is bright, clean and comfortable.  Our building is warm in the winter and stays nice & cool in the summer. We bed with absorbent wood shavings that is cleaned throughout the day,  so your dog will not be laying on cold, wet concrete.  Each dog run has a doghouse, generously bedded with clean , soft hay.

TRAINING IS $600 PER MONTH INCLUDING BIRDS
Payable at the beginning of each training month.
