Legend Gun Dogs labradors, both full British and British/American cross are bred for strong retrieve & bird drive, trainable temperaments and smaller size. Females typically weigh 50-60 lbs and males typically weigh 65-75 lbs. They are beautiful and are correct in their conformation. They make wonderful family dogs and are great either in the house or kennel. We believe running dogs in AKC Hunt Tests proves their trainability and hunting skills. All of our Labs are great upland and duck hunting dogs as well as being AKC titled.
Our foundation Dam, is Avonstream Poclea Shadow(Sadie). Her pedigree is loaded with British Field Champions. She is by imported parents who are British Field Champions and her bloodlines are some of the most popular in England .
Our Foundation sire, Drakeshead Rusty Red Remco SH(Remco) is out of an imported dam with many British Field Champions on her pedigree and Remco’s sire is from Wildrose Kennels British Lines. Remco is an AKC Titled Senior Hunter.
Remco & Sadie have given us many litters of wonderful pups. They have produced a good number of AKC Titled offspring, and from their offspring we have chosen our breeding stock. We have carefully chosen both the British and American bred sires we are crossing to our British dams. We feel that crossing out to select American sires gives us the best of both the British and American bloodlines. These American sires are from the best American Field Trial and Hunt Test bloodlines. They are also medium size dogs and are highly trainable with level-headed temperaments.
